Item: Australia 200 Years – The Spirit Of Australia – 20 Medal Collection

This folder was put together for the bicentenary celebrations in Australia.

It comes with an informative colour booklet and the coins set in a card on the back leaf. Each medal is forged from chromed steel, 27mm across.

The folder has some minor cornering and some faded edge wear. One of the medals has a small mark on the rim which could be a rust spot but it does not significantly detract from the overall item.

The bicentenary of Australia was celebrated in 1970 on the 200th anniversary of Captain James Cook landing and claiming the land and again in 1988 to celebrate 200 years of permanent European settlement.

As an educational item for a school project or just those looking to collect Australian memorabilia it is nice item to own.
