This pin is from Rabbit Flat. It is an 80’s era pin that was collected by a good friend of mine.

Still in great condition and given where Rabbit Flat is you would have to travel a long way to get your own.

An unusual lapel pin for the serious collector from beyond the black stump.

History

Rabbit Flat is a location in the Northern Territory of Australia about 160 km from the Western Australia border. The Rabbit Flat Roadhouse is claimed to be the most isolated roadhouse in Australia, with no other roadhouses within 100 km. Beware, Rabbit Flat is only open Friday to Monday and the owners will not open Tuesday to Thursday. Rabbit Flat has the most expensive fuel prices in Australia. It is located about 2 km from the Tanami Road formerly known as the Tanami Track which runs from Alice Springs in central Australia northwest to Halls Creek in the Kimberly region of Western Australia. The Flat is located between two mines, each more than 50 km away on the Tanami, and similarly, there are distant hills.
