This is a lovely condition note issued by the city savings bank in Gransee Germany in 1921. The date is as close as resources allow given that no date appears on the bank note itself.

It is for 175 pfennig or one mark and 75 pfennig.

There were 5 notes issued in this release of which this one is the highest denomination.

The wording is old German but it would seem that the women have found this man sleeping and as a grim punishment for idol ways they are dragging him down to cook him.

The emergency money from Germany is full of these cautionary tales and what will befall you if you do not do the right thing.
