Truly remarkable that these six banknotes from Dresden have been maintained in such wonderful condition.

The notes are all in almost mint condition and although they are not sequential they offer a wide variety of the serial prefixes, L, P, D and F.

To find one or two would be great but six is tremendous little packet to put away.

Banknotes from the hyperinflation period were numerous but great examples are always pleasing.

Get in fast as they will not last.

History

An unusual form of wholesale banking exists in Germany  which is run and organized at a regional level by the Landesbanken or Country Banks. There are 7 groups across Germany.

They are responsible as the head banking institution for the both the regional and local Sparkassen or Savings Banks.

The Sachsen Bank has now been owned by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg since April 2008.

The savings banks in Germany provide many services but in the main they are there for cash less payments and also liquidity funding for the regional savings banks. They are a major employer nationwide.
