World

The “World” category of this web site is dedicated to banknotes and coins from all areas around the world with the exception of Australia. Numismatics from overseas are extremely diverse and as the history of foreign countries is a great deal older than Australia the coins and banknotes that be offered can sometimes be thousands of years old.

Currently we offer a very large range of banknotes and coins from Germany. Germany has had a very turbulent history in the last 200 years and with all the changes in sovereignty, government, borders and ownership by foreign countries the banknotes and coins are diverse and fascinating.

Key to this is the Notgeld or Emergency Money issued during the hyperinflation period between 1914 and 1923. In the final year of inflation more than 22,000 different banknotes were recorded.

The coinage from the 1800’s and 1900’s is mostly 90/100 pure silver and this offers collectors a chance not only to invest in the numismatic historical value of the coins but also the base metal value as well.

If you’re looking for a diverse range of World numismatics then Noteworthy Collectibles is well on the way to offering this. New countries will be added at regular intervals.
