2016 Australia Five Dollars Next Generation First and Last Prefix AA-EJ -3

A stunning pair of key first and last prefix banknotes from the very first release of the all new Next Generation design.

The first prefix AA16 and last prefix EJ16 are a not to be missed collectible.  Both notes are pristine UNC with good intaglio printing and perfect holograms.

Micro print is extremely tiny text writing found in multiple locations on the new note.

In the top to bottom clear window you can find excerpts of the Australian constitution.

Micro print can be found behind the signatures within the coloured background. Background printing on the note is extremely finely detailed and is multi-directional.

This is just one of the features aimed at deterring counterfeiters.

Fantastic collectibles at any price.

Microprint is tiny, tiny writing found in multiple locations on the new note.

In the top to bottom clear window you can find excerpts of the Australian constitution.

What appears to be a branch in that window is actually microtext that says:
“THE LEGISLATIVE POWER OF THE COMMONWEALTH SHALL BE VESTED IN A FEDERAL PARLIAMENT WHICH SHALL CONSIST OF THE QUEEN, A SENATE, AND A HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AND WHICH IS HEREIN AFTER CALLED “THE PARLIAMENT“, OR “THE PARLIAMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH“. And “FIVE DOLLARS” repeated. This text also appears in front of Parliament House.

To the left of Parliament House in the wall the microtext can be read more easily:

“THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE PARLIAMENT, AND SHALL BE WITHIN TERRITORY WHICH SHALL HAVE BEEN GRANTED TO OR ACQUIRED BY THE COMMONWEALTH AND SHALL BE VESTED IN AND BELONG TO THE COMMONWEALTH“.

Microprint can also be found behind the signatures within the coloured background. Background printing on the note is extremely finely detailed and is multi-directional. This is just one of the features aimed at deterring counterfeiters.

New security features of the Next generation banknote are:.
A holographic image of an Eastern Spinebill.  The eastern spinebill (Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris) which is a species of honeyeater found in south-eastern Australia in forest and woodland areas, as well as some areas of Sydney and Melbourne. It is around 15 cm in length and has a distinctive black, white and chestnut plumage, a red eye, and a long downcurved bill.
There are also yellow Wattle flowers, a native plant to Australia.
A portrait of the Queen Elizabeth II who came to the throne in 1952 and appears with a eucalyptus gum branch.
Image of the new Parliament House and the Forecourt Mosaic, which opened in Canberra in 1988.

Special note: Since the beginning of  Australian banknote production it has always been that the First and Last Prefix have always retained a higher value, and rise in value more so than the middle prefixes. These middle prefixes are generally refered to as General Prefixes.

The raw banknote sheet is printed with 6 notes horizontally and 9 notes vertically.

Each note on the sheet has a different prefix of 2 letters and the entire sheet is stamped with the exact same serial number at the time of production.

The entire prefix list is:
1st:  AA16
