Species At Risk – Joint Territories Issue – 2009

A magnificent Stamp Pack that is now highly sought after.

With stamps from both Australia and Norfolk Island the pack contains:

10 x Mint Unhinged Stamps & 1 x Mint Unhinged Stamp Minisheet. interestingly it would seem that the stamps that have only Norfolk island printed on them can only be used there.

The stamps that have both Australia and Norfolk Island on them can be used in either country.

This is most unusual and it is what will make this issue very valuable in the years to come.

Inside text:

” Australia issues stamps for three of its external territories: Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands and the Australian Antarctic Territory.

History

Norfolk is a small island in the Pacific Ocean located between Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. For practical purposes, the island is considered to be part of the Commonwealth of Australia but it enjoys a limited degree of self-governance. Together with two neighbouring islands, it forms one of Australia’s external territories.
