We are very pleased to have acquired to have acquired these two beautiful first prefix Centenary of Federation Five Dollar banknotes from 2001 as they are becoming very scarce.
Being special tender notes makes them even more collectible. They were the first polymer banknotes to actually have the names of the people under their portraits as many people had queried the Reserve Bank of Australia as to who they were.
In 2001 production of $5 dollar notes was primarily restricted to printing these alone.
The notes are absolutely pristine and need no further description from a quality point of view.
Prices on these have been steadily increasing over the last decade and both the AA01 first prefix and JD01 Last prefix are now very hot property for investors and collectors alike.
