Featured on this wonderful coin is a reproduction of the colour lithograph by Dame Eileen Mayo from 1957. It is a lovely follow up to the first coin in the series with the War Posters.

As Australia and the rest of the world slowly dragged itself out of the post war recession moves were afoot to get Australia’s tourism industry on its feet and generating some much needed domestic capital. An agency was set up to assist in developing this trade. The Australian National Tourism Association or ANTA set about distributing information world wide to encourage people to travel down under. A series of travel posters were commissioned using world renown artists to boost the campaign.

The coin is also presented in the same frame and latex sheets as with the first coin of the series. People who love to collect Australiana will be greatly enthused with the fantastic reproduction featured on this offering.

Proof quality and housed in a fantastic presentation box it also includes the numbered certificate of authenticity.

Certificate numbers may vary from those displayed.
